First Ghanaian Sound System To Gain International Recognition in Trenchtown, Jamaica- GOLDEN FINGERS

In Jamaican popular culture, a sound system is a group of disc jockeys, engineers and MCs playing ska, rocksteady or reggae music. The sound system is an important part of Jamaican culture and history which has now grown to become a world wide thing which has spread like wild fire and practiced by several people.

Beginning from 21st to 22nd of December 2019, a three-day festival in Trench Town, Kingston will mark significant milestones in the Jamaica’s history. Rastafarians from Trench Town and other communities are expected to gather to chant, drum and observe practices in their tradition around a tabernacle.


I Wayne, Junior Kelly, Fred Locks, Ken Boothe, British singer Empress Ayeola, Earl “Chinna” Smith and his Binghistra and I-Cient-Cy Mau are some of the acts confirmed for the Trench Town Rock Muzik Festival.
